What is the expected price of Bitcoin in 2021?

My prediction from 2019 is $180,000.

However, things have changed.

We’ve seen unbelievable institutional FOMO. This could lead to the following 2 things.

Institutions have boatloads of money. That’s why $100B could easily flow into Bitcoin this year from institutions. This would yield a market cap of Bitcoin of $5T.

Institutional investors are in for the long run. They don’t pump and dump and they are looking to hold for several years. Their buying and selling also requires lots of preparation and internal consensus, so they need to plan their purchases and sells weeks or months in advance.

I still think that 50% of institutional investors will start selling once Bitcoin hits $100k, but there will stilll be more buying than selling at this point.

Once we hit $100k, governments and many Fortune 50 companies will probably also buy into Bitcoin and drive to the price to $180k.

Only once we hit close to $200,000, more institutional investors will start selling, which could then cause the final crash.
